Under The Cabin Roof
November 28th we rented a cabin from airbnb to spend the time away from everything for a while.

Cabin Day 1 (November 28th)
Me and James didn’t end up checking in until early evening. The cabin we rented out was right next to town, which was super nice to grab anything we forgot in Wausau. Upon our arrival, I literally had no words. The cabin was so stunning. James said it looked better in the photos. Inside it was nice and cozy! So, we ended up not going anywhere else, since it got pretty chilly later in the day. James was frustrated because there weren’t many great fishing places. Also, half of the lakes were frozen here. We played a few fun games on James’s nintendo switch and ate microwaved food. That ended our night with some random action movie that I fell asleep to.

Cabin Day 2 (Nov. 29th)
It was so cold when I woke up. Mind you, I think we slept at 12 in the morning. Midnight to be exact. James didn’t end up getting up until late afternoon. I honestly thought we would go out this day and check out a few places. Not a very good idea when it literally felt like negative a hundred degrees outside. We stayed in; played jenga, watched a few Christmas movies, and cooked steak outside in the cold. We had to because they had no kitchen, but it’s like camping so it was enjoyable in a way. We ended this night watching criminal minds season 3.

Our very last day. I’m sad now, just thinking about writing this out. Our check out time is at 11, and I had a conference with one of my professors at 10:30, which was cutting it super close. But it worked out in the end. We packed everything up and James drove me back to Eau Claire.
